Tottori is best known for its sand dunes, which are the largest in Japan. The city is also home to many other notable attractions and serves as an ideal base for further exploration of the Tottori Prefecture.

#Sakaiminato:

Home to manga artist and writer Shigeru Mizuki, Sakaiminato makes for a fun day out. The city is filled with all kinds of characters created by the late artist that are sure to delight both young and old alike.

For Tottori-based train travellers, Yonago lies en route to the city of Sakaiminato, making it possible for early risers to see both in a day. The city offers a variety of interesting sights, with its most notable drawcard being the views offered from atop the ruins of the 17th-century Yonago Castle.
