Lying southeast of the Osaka city area, Tondabayashi is a true gem that is sadly overlooked by most visitors to Osaka. One of the city's major attractions is the eye-catching Dai Heiwa Kinen Tō (Great Peace Prayer Tower), a uniquely shaped structure standing at 180 metres. The city is also home to the historic Jinaimachi district, an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings dating back to around the mid-16th Century.
